Colleagues will be saddened to learn that Frank Lott passed away in Canberra last week after a short illness. He was 68 years old.

2. Frank joined the department in 1975 and served in the Technical Section in various roles until his retirement in 1996. He also served in an exchange position with the Canadian foreign service from 1979-1981.

3. We understand that a private family funeral service for Frank will be held today in Canberra. In lieu of flowers, Frank's family has asked that donations be made to a cancer research fund.
