JONES, Keith - A resident of Ridgetown, Keith Robert Jones died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. He was born in Hamilton, 89 years ago, son of the late Milroy & Beatrice (Roberts) Jones. Beloved husband of Miriam "Anna" Jones of 67 years. Loving father of Brian Jones & his wife Linda of Peterborough, Laurie Brain & her husband Phil of Sarnia, Karen Peters & her husband Derreck of Maple Ridge, B.C., and the late Keith Jones (December 2, 1988), and Gary Jones (December 2, 2008). Proud grandfather of Dean, Kirsten, Shannon, Scott, and Alexandra; and great-grandfather of Samantha, Brianna, Natalee, Wesley, and Alice. Keith is lovingly remembered by his sister Yvonne Johnson of Ottawa, and sister-in-law Gwen Johnson of Chatham. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving with the RCAF. He was a Life Member of the Amateur Radio Association "VE3MH", and a former member of Rotary, the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Oddfellows. He served as a Councillor for the Town of Ridgetown until the time of amalgamation, and will be remembered by the many children he taught to bowl over the years. Family will gather privately in the spring for an interment service at Greenwood Cemetery in Ridgetown. If desired, please consider a donation to your favourite charity in memory of Keith.
