Harry McMillan - 2013

McMILLAN, Harry
May 31, 1929 - December 13, 2013
Harry went home to be with our Lord after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, his daughter Heather (Don), granddaughters Holly and Lauren, and grandsons Brent, Jeff and Westley. He was predeceased by his first loving wife Myrtle of many years, son Harvey, and sister Isabelle. Sargent McMillan spent more than 20 years in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. Harry retired from public service after 37 years of loyal service signed by Prime Minister Brian Mulroony.
He volunteered for over 15 years with the Langley RCMP, Crime Prevention Academy.
We can shed tears that he is gone,
Or we can smile because he lived.
We can close our eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or we can open our eyes and see all that he has left.
Our hearts can be empty because we can not see him,
Or we can be full of the loved that he shared.
We can turn our backs on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
We can remember him and only that he is gone,
Or we can cherish his memory and let it live on.
We can cry and close our minds, be empty and turn our backs,
Or we can do what he would want: smile, open our eyes,
love and go on.
Harry thank you for being you, from your loving wife Dorothy.
